Dog summer dress patterns (pillowcase style)

A few days ago my dog Tara saw a dress she liked so I had to make one similar and today I bring you the patterns to make this cute dress for dogs, perfect for summer or spring.

This is a pillowcase style dress and it is very easy to make.

Dog boots patterns

These dog boots are very easy to make and will protect our pets paws.

First of all please remember that no matter how charming dogs can be with their booties (as you can see in the picture of my dog Tara ;) boots and socks are not good for dogs because they need to wear down the claw nails with the natural friction when walking.

Dog winter dress patterns

For the most vain dogs here I bring you the patterns to make this lovely winter dress with long sleeve and pleated skirt.

Count dracula dog cape patterns

Halloween is nearly here so today I bring you the patterns to sew a vampire or Count Dracula cape for dogs very simple and easy to make.

There are 2 patterns : one for the cape and another for the collar piece. This cape will look great with a black exterior and red lining interior then you have to cut two equal pieces of cape pattern and two equal pieces of collar pattern.

This model is made with the dog sweater raglan sleeve pattern and adding the hood pattern.

Dog pants patterns

At last here are the dog pants patterns ! I have decided to adapt one-size fits-all pattern that I found on the Net to make it more comfy for my dog, because it ​​was a little short and too wide.

Dog sanitary panty diaper nappy patterns

Many of you have asked me for a female dog sanitary panties, so here I bring you the patterns that  can be used as a diaper with a sanitary napkin or simply like a cute shorts for summer time.

There are several designs that can be done,  for this design I was inspired by the image below , that seems pretty simple, comfortable and beautiful.

Dog vest harness patterns

This is a simple pattern to make a vest for dogs that also has the function of harness. This pattern is inspired by the design of the image.

If we want to use it as a dog harness too we have to sew two rings in the middle of the back strip to attach the leash.

This vest is made with one piece pattern. For a better finish sew one strip along all the vest's edge. You can use a different fabric or color to make it more funny.

Below, you will see a preview of the vest pattern. The pattern is the right side on gray.

Remember to cut the pattern with the fabric folded by the half, so when unfold the fabric will get the complete piece. The marked boxes at the end of the strips are for Velcro tape.

Dog cap pattern

Spring is coming, and the eyes of our little pets must be protected of the sun light, so here I let you a free dog cap patterns to make some easy and pretty caps for your lovely pets.

The patterns to make a dog cap like this are two: the cap (head) and the visor

You must also sew some strips to adjust the cap to your dog the head size. Look at the image to know how to sew the strips.

For a more professional finish cut two pieces of each pattern to make the visor double and the head side with lining.

Santa Claus dog outfit patterns

Christmas time is coming, so here I let you these free patterns to make your own santa claus dog outfit.

The patterns are inspired by the pretty model of the photo from pinkaholic brand, which is a bestseller every Christmas.

Images of the final result:

The belt can be decorated with rhinestone or silverplated buckle.

Instead the buttons I preferred to put velcro.

Dog Halloween Pumpkin Costume Patterns

This funny costume as Pumpkin Jack O Lantern for dogs is perfect for Halloween and it's very easy to make.

Steps :
First, sew boths sides of the hood.
Second, sew the hood to the coat.
Besides, sew the green leaves and the trunk and then sew at the top of the hood.
Finally, sew the pumpkin face, eyes, nose and mouth.
To attach the coat, sew two strips or a tie with velcro on each side of the neck.

Here is the preview image of all the patterns to make the costume.

Do not forget to cut the coat pattern with the fabric folded in half so when unfolding you'll get the full piece. Look at the pdf patterns in order to know which way to fold it.
For the hood you have to cut 2 hood patterns with opposite side.

Dog Sweater Patterns

This dog sweater style with raglan sleeve (is a type of sleeve whose distinguishing characteristic is to extend in one piece fully to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from underarm to collarbone) is often used in dog clothes.
Personally I like it so much because it gives a retro and sporting look to the clothes.

Tips: 
1-You must keep in mind that this is a design that it has to be put by the animals head by the way is necessary that the fabric or tissue we use must be elastic.

2-With this pattern you can use fine fabrics for summer or thick fabrics for winter.

Dog T Shirt Pattern

With these patterns you can make a dog t-shirt easily.In the following pictures you can see the results.

Below can see a preview of the two patterns to make the T-shirt (color purple). Do not forget to cut the fabric on fold ,so it comes out double.
 

Tips for printing patterns

Once you know the right size for your dog, download the pdf file with the patterns on your computer. The patterns will be printed directly in a real size.

Important! before printing, make sure you set “borderless” print settings, and do not check the box “print to scale”. This ensures patterns print at 100% correct size.
 
When printing please note that smallest size XS , usually will be printed on a single DIN A4 paper sheet, due to its small size.

For all other sizes the patterns are divided into parts that must be printed on several DINA4 paper sheets and after cut and join with tape or glue to get the whole pattern. 

All patterns are in pdf format , secure and hosted in Dropbox. In order to view and print pdf documents you will need to install free adobe reader software in your computer, download it for free on the official adobe website here:

If your dog's measurements fall in between two sizes, we suggest download the next larger size pattern.

How to measure your dog for clothing

You can’t make clothes for your dog without first getting some standard measurements. In order to find the right size of clothing for your dog, please complete the following measurements with a measuring tape. To ensure a correct fit, please have your dog stand up. You won't get accurate measurements if the pet is sitting or lying down. If this is difficult, offer little incentives (eg. Treats) to get them to stand still, or measure when your pet is calm and not over excited
