This is my dog Tara wearing a cute striped T shirt made by me.
Below can see a preview of the two patterns to make the T-shirt (color purple). Do not forget to cut the fabric on fold ,so it comes out double.

I just wanted to thank you for the dog dress pattern. I added eyelet lace to bottom of dress to dress it up and it is beautiful on my pup. Hope you add more dress paterns.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this simple, excellent pattern. I just printed it and am excited to use it as a starting point to create awesome clothing for my Boston terrier. Keep up the good work!! chasingace.wordpress.com
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for these patterns and a double thank you that you have made these printable and free. I'm making sweaters for the dogs that are homeless and in shelters
ReplyDeleteI am agreeing with all above comments and also i just have to say really Great pattern. I now printed it and am excited to use it as a starting point to create breathtaking clothing for my puppy.
ReplyDeleteNo one else seems to have had problems downloading and printing these patterns. I downloaded what was required and still cannot get the download. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you clicked the big green "Open PDF - Download" box. That is an ad that wants to install stuff on your computer. Ignore it. Look below the box to where Mimi has listed her patterns by size. Below the size you want, there is a small text link that states, "download shirt pattern." That's the one you need to click. ^.~
DeleteThank you so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to find a pattern that I can make some custom outfits for my English Mastiff (Bertha "Biker" Dog). She rides with me in her custom painted motorcycle sidecar and does charity events. Check her out on Facebook. Would anybody be able to adapt a pattern for this size of dog?
ReplyDeleteNeck - 25"
Chest - 41.5"
Length - 23"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I bought a pettern for my saint bernard gracie. It is simplicity 3518 with the three sizesl,xl xxl. It worked very well. Also a coat pAttern simplicity 2303. Both patterns seem real generous to size. These may be out of print but try ebay , amazon or simplicity online also carry out of print patterns. Hope this helps. I also use a womens size large t-shirt and add on a ruffles skirt and shorten the shirt and take it in on the under side if you have some previous experience sewing. This is a easy way to make larger dress. You can also print your own iron ons or add emblishments to make them really cute. Good luck to you on your search.
DeleteI am trying to do the same as Beverly but for a Australian shepherd...can I just enlarge the size of the pattern?
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi, I just made a dog shirt using your pattern and it worked! Thank you so much :)

God Bless you.
What do you think about taking a baby onesie and converting it to a dog outfit? I have made an Atlanta Braves jersey out of a red onesie bought at Goodwill. The dog's name is Glavine after the famous pitcher Tom Glavine.
ReplyDeleteHow did you finish the armholes on this shirt?
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and want to make one for my corgi! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI had a little kid's t-shirt with a design on the front that I wanted to use for my boston...I was going to buy a dog shirt and then cut out the design and sew it on...but I was able to use this pattern right around the image and now it's on the back of my doggy shirt. PERFECT!! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteIs the seam allowance included? Do you add SA. Anxious to start but don't want it too small.
ReplyDeleteCarole in these (T-shirt) patterns the seam allowance is not marked (cause I forget it) but yes it is included.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your comments!!

Just made my puppy a halloween costume out of a child's t-shirt from Goodwill. Thank you for these easy, practical patterns!
ReplyDeleteEven though it's just a T-Shirt, I wasn't sure if it would be comfortable enough to wear casually, which is what I got it for. I also have never used the "RecommendedStore.com" brand before. All I can say is that it's a really nice shirt. The thread is smooth and not itchy or anything like that. Certainly worth the price.
ReplyDeleteI love your patterns they fit my dogs so well. I'm hoping eventually you add halter dress patterns for regular waist and drop waist with a gathered skirt. Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO MUCH for the patterns. I appreciate it! Jenn.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for sharing!!! We have two 6 month old chihuahuas, boy and girl. I've downloaded some of your patterns and can't wait to sew them up for our sweeties! Thanks again!

ReplyDeletehi, poohbear above again,i forgot to mention i am looking for medium sizes, also small if anyone has them.thanks.
ReplyDeleteMimi,it seems like the patterns show up randomly. I'm trying to download your new dress pattern and the links aren't there. I've had this problem with most of the patterns. Under the "Ad" it has your comment about the downloads, but the links don't show. Gremlins at work or am I missing something??? Love your patterns---AND incredible generosity!
